The Biology Teacher's Handbook

Building upon the foundation of the first three editions, The Biology Teacher’s Handbook, 4th Edition has been updated to reflect contemporary issues and current understandings of science and teaching. You will find this new edition packed full of insights into effective teaching strategies, inquiry-based instruction, course planning, and program selection. Designed to support you as you build a culture of inquiry in your classroom.

Since it was first released in 1960, biology teachers have counted The Biology Teacher’s Handbook among their most valuable resources. The third edition was published in 1978 and was taken out of print in the mid-eighties. More than 14 BSCS Science Educators contributed to the 4th edition, released in March 2009 and published by NSTA Press.
